3 powerful marketing strategies for coaches

Communicating around your business and what you do can quickly become overwhelming. Too much to do, too little time!

Let’s be honest, if you want your business to grow, you need to have a good strategy when if comes to your marketing and communication.

Let’s not lose more time than necessary and let’s go straight to the point. I am here presenting you what are 3 very powerful marketing strategies that you should start implementing ASAP to get more clients and results with your coaching business (it works in general with all health and wellness businesses, so basically, whether you are a life coach, business coach, health coach, sport coach, fitness instructor, yoga teacher, nutritionist, naturopath … this applies to you)

1. Use social media the right way

These days, it is hard to escape social media. In fact, in 2022, the global use of social media is still increasing, making it an essential communication strategy.

Get really clear on your social media strategy – yes, you need one !

Different networks are used by different demographics, so you need to be where your ideal client is. That might be instagram, facebook, tik tok, linkedin or something else. Don’t try to be everywhere.

As part of my cooperation with the FlowCode Coaching Academy, I will be co-hosting a great workshop in September with Maja from RadGrade to help you master your social media content strategy. Make sure you join us!

2. Host a blog or a podcast (or do guest blogging or guest podcasting)

Having your own blog or podcast is a great inbound marketing strategy. (According to Hubspot, inbound marketing “is a business methodology that attracts customers by creating valuable content and experiences tailored to them.”)

By creating and publishing valuable content for your target audience, you will create authority, and appear on google search for specific keywords and build trust & long lasting relationships with your leads.

Appart from having your own blog/podcast, you should connect with other bloggers or podcasters and be a guest on their blog or podcast. It is a proven way to grow your business. Many small businesses use the power of podcasts/blogs to expand their authority towards their targeted audience by being guests.

Make sure you choose carefully where you will appear (their readers/listeners need to be your target client). Listen to a few episodes or read a few of their blogs to see if their values match yours. They don’t need to touch millions of people, but make sure you engage and touch their audience with your message.

As you can see, I am currently a guest blogger for the FlowCode Coaching Academy. If you too have something to share, make sure to be in touch with the FlowCode Coaching Academy, they have a very friendly guest-blogging policy that can get you great visibility as a coach!

3. Optimize your website

First, let’s be clear. Yes, you need a website. It doesn’t have to be complicated, but you need to present what you are doing in the simplest way to convert leads into clients.

Visiting a website is like window shopping : If it looks like crap, or if you don’t find what you are searching because it is too messy, you don’t stay long!

Your goal is not to get just anybody visiting your website. You want to attract potential leads and turn them into clients. Relevant content, on point UX/UI design and a good SEO strategy is the combo you need to have the perfect website.

It will help you appear organically on search engine results page, you will make sure your visitors get the info they need and become leads and in turn clients.

If you want to spend most of your time on what you were meant to do, AKA coaching, you need to have a smart strategy in place to market your offer!

Adopt these 3 strategies and you will be surely see positive results with your coaching business!
